Social Events
Many of our social activities are fun and exciting, allowing members to meet new people while bonding with each other. Each year we have a semi-formal which is near the end of first term, and is always a big hit. Members invite some friends, and dress up in semi-formal attire, and dance and mingle the night away. Our formal, also known as the Sapphire Ball, is at the end of the year and is just as fun. Members invite a date for dinner, awards are given out, and the rest of the night is full socializing and dancing.
The Beta Psi chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma also has a sisterhood event at least once a month. Usually they consist of dinners held by the chapter which are prepared and served by members. In the past, we have planned a night out of lazer tag, bowling, volleyball, and other activities. These events allow the girls to enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed atmosphere and become closer as sisters.
Becoming a new member of Kappa Kappa Gamma is one of the best experiences you will have in your life. After going through the new member program, new members go out with the present members for an entire day and get pampered. Although the retreat changes from year to year, an example would be getting a manicure or pedicure during the day, going for a yoga class, then out to dinner or to see a play. It is a way for the new members to get to know each other better as well as to get to know the older members. It is a time you’ll never forget.
